US Supreme Court Limits Federal Government's Ability to Control Pollution

Today, the United States Supreme Court decision on West Virginia v. EPA limited the Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) ability to reduce greenhouse gas emissions under the Clean Air Act, undermining efforts to reduce climate-warming pollution from coal and gas-fired power plants.

June 30th, 2022, D.C. – Today, the United States Supreme Court decision on West Virginia v. EPA limited the Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) ability to reduce greenhouse gas emissions under the Clean Air Act, undermining efforts to reduce climate-warming pollution from coal and gas-fired power plants.
