BFFP Communications Manager (Asia Pacific)

This role provides BFFP in the Asia Pacific with communications capacity and expertise – developing our relevant, consistent and powerful voice  to shift the narrative on plastics. In practice, it is likely to focus on priority markets, building capacity with members and providing oversight of communications for BFFP in the diverse Asia Pacific region. We welcome in particular, candidates from Malaysia, Philippines, Vietnam, Thailand, and Indonesia.

BFFP Southeast Asia Network Organizer

The Southeast Asia Network Organizer will provide leadership and coordination for plastics-related initiatives in the Southeast Asia region. As the SEA organizer, you will implement and oversee  programs and campaigns in the SEA region and coordinate the SEA network. You will provide support and services to plastics-related initiatives (including Zero Waste and incineration) of members and partners in Southeast Asia, ensure that these initiatives are highlighted beyond the region, and that they contribute to larger plastic reduction goals globally.

BFFP South Asia Network Organizer

The South Asia Network Organizer will provide leadership and coordination for plastics-related initiatives in the South Asia region. As the SA organizer, you will implement and oversee programs and campaigns in the SA region and coordinate the SA network for Break Free from Plastic. You will provide support and services to plastics-related initiatives (including Zero Waste and incineration) of members and partners in South Asia, ensure that these initiatives are highlighted beyond the region, and that they contribute to larger plastic reduction goals globally.

BFFP US Policy Officer

The US Policy Officer provides direct support for the BFFP movement’s proactive policy solutions at Global, National, State, and Local Levels. This role will work with members to align and coordinate shared positions; promote bills, policies, and programs that address the full life cycle of plastics and center Environmental Justice needs and priorities; and engage defensive efforts to stop harmful policies’ passage or implementation. The BFFP movement has over 160 core member organizations working throughout the United States and a few members working in Canada.

Solutions Coordinator for BFFP Europe

The BFFP Europe Solutions Coordinator is responsible for the co-creation and implementation of key strategies focused on the enabling and development of reduction and reuse solutions, to support the achievement of the European and global objectives of the BFFP movement.

Communications Officer (China)

The Break Free From Plastic (BFFP) Communications Officer (China) is responsible for the planning, evaluation and implementation of communication strategies and plans  involving the agreed collective work of  BFFP (or PFC)  members in  Mainland China to ensure satisfied members’ exchange and cooperation between China and other regions. Additionally, the role supports communications capacity and expertise – developing our relevant, consistent and powerful voice  to shift the narrative on plastics in the region. The role provides project communications support to help amplify the work of BFFP members in China particularly to audiences outside the mainland,  and also to help improve the communication and translation of  BFFP  initiatives globally and in other regions for BFFP (or PFC)  stakeholders in China, which are relevant to achieving identified priorities in China.
