The global movement envisioning a future free from plastic pollution.

People around the world - from every continent and community - have expressed their support for measures to urgently address unchecked plastic production, consumption, and pollution. After three years of Plastics Treaty negotiations, the world expects global leaders to agree on a treaty fit-for-purpose when they next meet this August in Geneva, Switzerland.
We are calling on citizens from around the world to contact their country’s Minister at the negotiations and ask them to adopt a strong Plastics Treaty that can ensure a future free from plastic pollution.
Making the invisible visible: how researchers are using cartoons to explain the hidden harms of plastic pollution
Plastic pollution requires scientific research to guide effective solutions. The French research group GDR collaborated with scriptwriter Capucine Dupuy and illustrator Bobika to turn their findings into humorous, accessible cartoons - a collaboration we discussed with Professor Mathieu George and Capucine Dupuy.
Since 2022, more than 170 countries have been negotiating the world’s first-ever global plastics pollution treaty. The fifth and last scheduled round of negotiations will take place from 25 November to 1 December 2024 in Busan, Republic of Korea.
Join the communities on the frontlines from petrochemical build outs upstream to landfills and incinerators downstream. See firsthand how plastic devastates natural ecosystems, and destroys people’s health, livelihoods, and peace of mind.
Bring systemic change through a holistic approach tackling plastic pollution across the whole plastics value chain, focusing on prevention rather than cure, and providing effective solutions.
