Plastic Free July

As the world continues to grapple with the Covid-19 pandemic, people around the world are demonstrating that a life free from unnecessary plastic and disposable material is still possible. This year’s Plastic Free July will continue paving the way to #BreakFreeFromPlastic while encouraging principles built on a just recovery from the pandemic.

For every week of July, we’ll introduce one of our 5 Just Recovery Principles building towards a better normal. Stay tuned for actionable solutions, debunking common plastic pollution myths and misconceptions, and introductions to Break Free From Plastic members and changemakers.

This is only the beginning. Plastic Free July is not simply about changing our individual behavior in one month, but rather, pushing for systems change to hold corporations and our government leaders accountable.

Join us to #BreakFreeFromPlastic and let our communities, cities, and countries know that we continue to refuse single-use plastic.

To join, follow us on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. Check out our social media toolkit below for posts/tweets, images, and actions to share throughout the month.
