Generational Conversation – Youth with Alexandra Cousteau
The duty to protect the planet should not stop with the current generation.
Realizing this, renowned explorer and scuba diving pioneer Jacques Cousteau instilled his love for the ocean among his children and grandchildren, one of which is Alexandra Cousteau. At the age of 8, Alexandra gathered signatures for her grandfather’s petition to save Antarctica. Since then, she has been a staunch ocean advocate, joining Oceana in its campaigns to fight overfishing, illegal fishing, and marine plastic pollution. To restore lost coastal habitats, Alexandra also started the Oceans 2050 initiative.
This Saturday, join us and Alexandra in the first session of Kids for Kids’ Generational Conversations, a talk series that brings generations to the forefront of conservation. Together, let’s learn more about how the youth can save the ocean especially from the plastic pollution crisis. Register here for free.
