Global Brand Audit Coordinator
Sybil is coordinating the Break Free From Plastic global brand audit project, a citizen science initiative working to identify the corporations most responsible for plastic pollution and hold them accountable. In this role, she supports our members around the world to organize brand audits, collect their data, and amplify their stories in our annual “BRANDED” report. Previously, she was a digital organizer at Greenpeace USA working to educate, empower and engage supporters to take action against single-use plastics and ocean pollution. Before diving deeper into environmental justice advocacy, Sybil spent years as a cross-cultural educator, journalist, community organizer and event planner. She holds a graduate certificate in Arabic from the American University in Cairo, a BA in Anthropology from Connecticut College, and an MS in Anthropology and Development Studies from Radboud University, where she conducted original field research on environmental civil society movements in Tunisia.
